You can add “it gets better” to that list.

It may be true but it’s not what that person wants to hear!!

For me, it made me feel even worse…

We want to hear things that WILL make it better!

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but over time, tell us about all the beautiful things that they have and will become, tell them about how they’re dreams and hopes for the future can come true.

And if they haven’t thought about it, tell them that only means that they have so mean possibilities.

Show them the episode of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic “Call of the Cutie”, which explains that even though you don’t know what you’re meant to do in this world, that only means that there are endless possibilities to what they can become.

Etc.

If I keep going this will become a rambling mess.
